Meet the Owner

Hello, I'm Joanne, the founder of Soft Skin Naturals.

Seven years ago, I was diagnosed with diabetes. As many diabetics know, dry skin can be a constant companion, and I found myself in need of lotion on a daily basis. I wanted to find a soap that would not only cleanse my skin, but keep it moisturized so I wouldn't be so dependent on lotion.

After trying numerous over-the-counter products, I was frustrated by the number of chemicals they contained. I wanted something better—something natural—so I decided to create my own vegan, cold process soaps.

What started as a personal project quickly turned into a passion. After handing out samples to family and friends, they strongly encouraged me to share these soaps with others who might benefit from them. I soon discovered that using my handmade soaps significantly reduced my need for lotion—I could go weeks without it!

A little about my background: I have over 30 years of experience in marketing, having spent most of my career in Corporate America. Starting my own business was always on my bucket list, and I'm thrilled to finally be doing it. The journey of learning about small businesses and creating products that I truly believe in have been incredibly rewarding.

I live in New England with my wonderful husband and our grown daughter. We share our home with a cat, and I've been a lifelong cat lover.
